Hi I'm Ruth I recently became Vegan I would say within the last year or so. I have to also mention that I am on a spiritual journey and while on this journey I discovered that Father has provided humanity all the food it needs to survive in nature. Animals in my personal opinion are ment to be enjoyable companions and we are to live in harmony with them. Because of this spiritual journey I am also homeless so I don't have the option of having a garden to grow my food but I try to work around what I do have in the moment. I get my food from the grocery store however I'm pretty positive you can make a lot of these things from scratch if you so choose...
This blog is here for ideas on a budget and first time cooks. Sometimes it's about making things fast and easy.
At the moment I do not have a stove to cook on and use a microwave as a secondary option. I do always recommend using the stove top if you have access to it.
These recipes are easy and budget friendly as I can not spend a large amount of money on food so I spend what I can and make the best of what I can get in the moment.
At the moment Target and Pick n save are the grocery stores I use.
I'm extremely cautious about the veggies and fruit I get because they are sprayed for " freshness" so they can last longer in the stores. Please do your research. I personally can only eat certain types of veggies because others upset my stomach...
There are always a verity of options out there for you as well...
The more you cook and identify your palette what tastes good and what doesn't adding flavors will guide your taste buds so have cooking and don't stress...
Vegan is plant based foods MANY items are used with mushrooms and beans or other veggies used to create similar textures as meat and as far as flavor it's just spices...
So I hope these recipes will give you at least an ideas of cooking something quick and easy...
